[Accordion] Overview

The Master Authorization Package Input form allows you to create and manage Master Authorization Packages, which are collections of one or more Insurance Authorization Packages. By grouping related authorization packages into a single Master Package, staff can apply multiple predefined authorization configurations at once from the Insurance Authorization form, reducing repetitive data entry, improving consistency, and streamlining the authorization setup process.

[Permissions] The staff member must have Full access to the Maintenance module [Staff > Staff Info > System Permissions > Maintenance]

Use the Master Authorization Package Setup form to create and maintain Master Authorization Packages by grouping together commonly used Insurance Authorization Packages. These Master Packages can be selected directly from the Insurance Authorization form to quickly populate multiple Insurance Authorization Packages in a single action.

  1. [[img:add >> lbl:Add New]] Click/Tap to create a new Master Authorization Package.
  2. Actions:
    • [[img:edit >> bg:white]] Click/Tap to modify the selected Master Authorization Package.
    • [[img:delete >> bg:white]] Click/Tap to permanently remove the selected Master Authorization Package.

  1. Master Authorization Package Name (required): Enter a unique name that identifies the Master Authorization Package.
  2. Authorization Packages in Master: Select one or more Insurance Authorization Packages to include in the Master Authorization Package. When this Master Package is selected from the Insurance Authorization form, all included Insurance Authorization Packages are applied together, reducing repetitive data entry and ensuring consistent authorization setup. 
  3. Buttons:
    • [[img:save >> lbl:Save]] Click/Tap to save the Master Authorization Package and make it available for selection from the Insurance Authorization form.
    • [[img:close >> lbl:Cancel]] Click/Tap to close the form without saving any changes made to the Master Authorization Package.

[Q] How do I access the Master Authorization Package Input form from the Insurance Authorization form?

[A] From the Insurance Authorization form, click/tap the Maintenance menu and select "Master Authorization Package Input". This opens the "Master Authorization Package Input form", where you can create, edit, and manage Master Authorization Packages.

[Q] Why can't I see an Insurance Authorization Package when creating a Master Authorization Package?

[A] Only Insurance Authorization Packages that have already been created are available for selection. If the required package is missing, create it first in the Insurance Authorization Package Input form.

[Q] If I update an Insurance Authorization Package, will existing Master Authorization Packages automatically use the updated version?

[A] Yes. Since Master Authorization Packages reference the selected Insurance Authorization Packages, any updates made to those packages are reflected the next time the Master Authorization Package is used.

[Q] Can I remove an Insurance Authorization Package from a Master Authorization Package?

[A] Yes. Edit the Master Authorization Package, remove the package from the list, and save your changes. The removed package will no longer be applied when that Master Authorization Package is selected.
