Schedule Preferences allow users with full access to the Schedule to configure and personalize their scheduling experience.
Users can customize key settings such as Work Hours, Time Zone, Scheduling Priority, Time Increments, Column Widths, and other display settings. These preferences help tailor the Schedule view to individual workflows, ensuring efficient navigation, accurate time management, and a more streamlined scheduling process.

Use Schedule Preferences to customize your Schedule view and settings to better fit your workflow. Adjust display and time-based options to create a more efficient and personalized scheduling experience.
Steps to Customizing Your Schedule Preferences:
Click/Tap [[img:tune]] Preferences button on the Schedule toolbar at the top of the screen
Preferences:
Show download button for individual events: Allows you to export an .ics file for external calendar applications
Show Inactive Staff: Displays inactive staff in the Schedule Resource list, provided you have permission to view or edit their information
Enable Conflict Checking: Helps prevent scheduling conflicts by identifying:
Overlapping Staff events
Overlapping Patient events
Events outside of the Staff's usual work hours
When the staff is unavailable
Multiple Patient Events- when a Schedule Event Type has Duplicate Appointment Check enabled(Utilities > Schedule Event Type Input)
Show Staff Availability Color Coding (F6): Calendar Background Cell coloring:
- Light-Blue: Non-work hours
- White: Work hours
- Red: Unavailable time slot
- Green: Available time slot
- Red with diagonal hashing lines: Unavailable time slot that overlaps with non-work hours
- Green with diagonal hashing lines: Available time slot that overlaps with non-work hours
Select Scheduling Options
Choose Schedule Preferences
- Navigation Calendars: Controls how many calendars are displayed in the Schedule Resources panel. By default, one calendar is shown, but you can display two months side by side for easier navigation on larger screens.
- Default Time Increment: Determines the time interval represented by each cell in the Schedule, which also defines the default duration of events.
- First Day of Week: Specifies which day is displayed as the start of the week in the work-week view.
- Default Column Size: Defines the width of schedule columns when multiple resources are displayed in the Schedule view, such as when viewing several Schedule Resources simultaneously.
- Work Hours: Allows you to set your standard start and end times for each day, or mark days off. These settings affect how time slots are color-coded on the schedule.
- Time Zone: Specify the preferred timezone that will be considered when using the Find Available Timeslot feature.
- Scheduling Priority: When searching for available appointments, if multiple staff members are available at the same time, the system uses their assigned priority to determine order (displaying results from highest to lowest priority).

[Q] I am not an Admin user. Can I still access the Schedule Preference?
[A] Yes. Schedule Preference can be accessed by all Staff Members who have Full access to the Scheduling module [Staff > Staff Info > System Permissions > Schedule].
[Q] How do I set the default Schedule interval to 15-minute slots?
[A] To change this setting, go to: Schedule > Preferences > Schedule Options> Schedule Preferences OR Staff > Staff Info > Additional Options tab > Schedule Settings > Scheduling Options > Schedule Preferences. Set the Default Time Increment to 15 minutes.
[Q] Can I change my Work Hours or Time Zone in Scheduling Preferences?
[A] Yes. You can set your preferred Work Hours and Time Zone to ensure the Schedule accurately reflects your local working schedule.

[A] Customizing preferences helps improve visibility, organization, and efficiency, making it easier to manage appointments and navigate your schedule.
[Q] Do changes in Scheduling Preferences affect other users?
[A] No. Scheduling Preferences are user-specific and only affect the individual user’s Schedule view.
