[Accordion] Overview
The Advanced Filter bar is a powerful tool found at the top of most data tables in the system. It is designed to save you time by helping you search through large amounts of data to find exactly what you are looking for in just a few clicks. Instead of scrolling through endless lists, you can combine multiple search criteria at once, such as a specific date range, a patient's status, or a document category.
Just click directly on the Filter bar (highlighted in red below). The menu will expand, allowing you to choose your search criteria and customize your view so you only see the data you need.
For example, if you would like to see only the Patient Contact records that match all of the specific details for a specific Program, Clinician, Patient, Service, and Status, you could set up your parameters in the Advanced Filter bar like this:
Program: Depression Program
Clinician: Jessica Parker
Services: CBT
Status: Showed Up

[Accordion] Key Features
Where to Find It: The Advanced Filter bar is conveniently located at the very top of the page, right above the Quick Filter Tags and the main data table.
Dynamic Options: The specific filter options and categories available to you will automatically change depending on the data table you are currently viewing.
Clearing Filters: Click/Tap the [[img:x_circle >> lbl:Clear]] button to clear all Filters.
Reset Before Searching: It is a good habit to clear out any existing Filters before starting a new search. This prevents old criteria from mixing with your new search and causing unexpected results.
Save Your Favorites: If you find yourself frequently using a complex combination of Filters, you can save it as a Favorite to instantly load it on demand next time.
[Accordion] FAQs
[Q] Can I save frequently used filter combinations?
[A] You can save your frequently used filter combination as a Favorite.
[Q] Why does my search show "No Results Found" when I know that records exist?
[A] The Cause: You likely have conflicting filters active, or an old filter from a previous search was left on. Because the Advanced Filter bar combines criteria using "AND" logic (e.g., Program A AND Clinician B AND Date C), adding too many specific parameters can narrow your results down to nothing.
The Fix: Click the Close button to clear everything out, then add your filters back one by one to see where the conflict is happening.
[Q] Can I use the Advanced Filter to search for multiple Clinicians at the exact same time?
[A] This depends on the specific data table you are viewing. Some advanced dropdown menus allow for multi-select (where you can check multiple boxes next to names), while others only allow you to filter by one primary Clinician at a time. If multi-select isn't supported on that specific table, running separate searches or utilizing Quick Filter Tags is the best workaround.
