Buttons are interactive components that allow users to trigger actions, navigate the interface, submit data into the system, open a form, save or clear information, delete records, or refresh a view. They may appear as standalone options or within toolbars, taskbars, or data tables.
[Accordion] Key Features
[[img:settings>> lbl:| >> img:more_vert >> bg:lightgrey]] Maintenance Menu: A Group Box includes Dropdown controls, which appear in the top-right corner. You can use this control to manage the list options directly within the Group Box, eliminating the need to leave the main form and navigate to the Maintenance Menu.
Radio Buttons: Allow users to select one option from a predefined set. Only a single selection can be active at a time. Choosing a new option automatically clears the previously selected one.
Example: In the Staff Info form, a set of radio buttons appears under the System Permissions tab.
Icons: Visual symbols used to represent actions, states, or features within the interface. They provide quick recognition and improve navigation by reducing the need for text labels. Common examples include icons for saving, editing, history, and search. For example, the Search Bar on the Patient Lookup page includes icons for Quicklist and History.
[Accordion] FAQs
[Q] Why is a button grayed out and not clickable?
[A] A grayed-out button usually indicates that there is a certain user action pending or not satisfied. This could mean one or more required fields or options on the form have not been completed. Once you fill in the required information, the button will become active and clickable.
[Q] What happens when I click the Clear button?
[A] The Clear button removes all unsaved data from the current form, allowing you to start over without saving changes.
[Q] Can I undo an action after clicking a button?
[A] This depends on the button’s function. Some buttons, such as Save or Delete, perform immediate actions that cannot be undone. Always review your entries and read confirmation dialogues before proceeding.
[Q] Why doesn’t the button I clicked seem to do anything?
[A] Some buttons trigger background processes or validations that may take a few seconds. If nothing happens after waiting, ensure you have the correct permissions and that all required form data is entered.
