[Q] I need to update the Responsible Party on several claims. The correct information is now in the client’s demographics, but these claims were created before that update. Can the Push to Open Claims feature help with this?
[A] Yes, for claims that are still open, the Responsible Party will be updated when you use the Push to Open Claims feature.

[Accordion] Overview
The Push to Open Claims feature helps streamline claim management by automatically linking insurers from the patient’s Demographics form to existing claims with open balances. This ensures that all eligible claims are associated with the correct payor, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.
It’s a time-saving feature designed to ensure claims are routed to the correct payors without manual rework.

[Accordion] FAQs
[Q] Will using the Push to Open Claims option update the Insurer on the appointment or just the claim?
[A] The Push to Open Claims feature lets you apply updated insurance information to Open Claims directly from the Demographics form. This applies to claims that have already been created and currently have a balance assigned to a different payer.
This feature does not update insurance information on appointment records. For appointments that have not yet been transitioned into claims, you must update the Insurer and authorization details directly within the appointment record.
[Q] I have a client who has CareFirst insurance, which was not previously in the system but has now been added. How can I go back and bill for claims from 3/15/26 to the present?
[A] You can update the client’s insurer details to CareFirst and then use the Push to Open Claims feature. Be sure to select the desired date range, in this case, from 3/15/20226 to the current date.
[Q] I don't see any claims, but I know there are some that need the Insurer update.
[A] Verify that the selected date range includes claims with open balances, and that the Insurer isn’t already linked to those claims.
