The Patient Task Dashboard allows staff to monitor and manage tasks for patient compliance in real time.
By providing a clear snapshot of outstanding responsibilities, the Patient Task Dashboard makes it easy to filter, sort, and track completed, pending, or overdue tasks. This proactive visibility ensures that staff can quickly follow up on critical care items and keep patient treatment plans moving forward on schedule.
[Tip] If you see different labels than what is shown in this article (e.g., Patient vs Client), your system may have Custom Labels applied. You can verify and update these by locating "Custom Labels" in the Global Search.
[Accordion] Steps to Manage the Patient Task Dashboard
The Patient Task Dashboard lets staff monitor patient compliance in real time by filtering, sorting, and tracking completed, pending, and overdue tasks.
- Compliance: Filter tasks by status to include or exclude any of the associated Workflows
- Type: Choose to include or exclude tasks from specific actions. You can choose from All Types, Custom Actions, SmartFlows, and Form Actions
- Due by Date: Click/Tap the [[img:Calendar_Month]] button to choose the date by which the task is due
- Action To Complete: Select the action to be performed as part of the Workflow rule
- Responsibility: Filter based on Responsibility set in the task
- Current Responsible: Choose to filter tasks based on staff listed as the Current Responsible
- Comments: Enter text from the Comments field in tasks to filter tasks by specific comments

[[img:patient_list>>lbl:Treatment Phase]] Displays the Treatment Phase associated with the current list of assigned tasks. Click/Tap the three-dot menu to switch Treatment Phases and view assigned tasks for other Treatment Phases.
[Info] By default the system loads the assigned tasks for the most current Treatment Phase.
- [[img:add_box >> lbl:Associate New Workflow]] Allows you to manually assign a new Workflow for the patient.
- [[img:help_outline>> lbl:Help]] Click/Tap to open the related help documentation.

Workflows To Display:
- Selected Only: Filters the list to display only the tasks associated with the selected Workflow for the current patient.
- All for Current Patient: Displays all tasks across every assigned Workflow for the selected patient.
- Use [[img:star>>lbl:Unsaved View>>lbl: | >>img:more_vert >> bg:white]] to save and quickly access frequently used filter and view configurations.
- Use [[img:filter_alt]] to apply filters and narrow the task list based on specific criteria, such as task status or type, making it easier to find and manage relevant tasks.
- [[img:more_vert>> bg:white]] Three-dot menu:
- Assign to Me: Assign the selected task to yourself as the Current Responsible Staff
- Assign to Staff: Assigns the selected task to another staff member as the Current Responsible Staff
- Clear Assignment: Removes the current staff task responsibility
- Add/Edit Comments: Add a new comment or modify an existing comment for the selected task
- Mark as Completed: Marks any pending, overdue, or invalid task as Completed
- Recalculate Due Date: Recalculates and updates the task's due date based on its current schedule configuration and workflow rules. For Example, if a Workflow task is set to be due 30 days after admission and the admission date is updated, selecting Recalculate Due Date updates the task's due date accordingly
- Edit Task: Allows you to update the task Due Date and the Responsible Staff
- Delete Task: Deletes the selected task
- Open Triggering Record: Opens the record that originally triggered the task
- Log Info: Displays the activity log and history for the selected task
The three-dot menu [[img:more_vert >> bg:white]] displays a different set of options once a task is marked as Completed.
- Mark as Non-Complete: Reverts the task status from Completed back to Pending
- Open Completing Record: Opens the record that completed the Workflow task
- Open Triggering Record: Click to view the record that initiated the Workflow task
- Log Info: Displays the activity log and history for the selected task

[Q] How can I assign/add a new Workflow rule for a patient?
[A] After selecting a patient, use the [[img:add_box >> lbl:Associate New Workflow]] button to link a Workflow rule for the patient.
[Q] Can I export or print the list of displayed tasks for a patient?
[A] Yes. Click/Tap on the [[img:download]] button to export the Workflow task list.
[Q] I marked a Workflow task as Completed in error. Is there a way to revert the completion of the task?
[A] Yes. Click on the [[img:more_vert]] menu on the left of the Completed task and click on Mark as Non-Complete to change the Workflow task status to Pending.
[Q] Is it possible to delete a Workflow task from the Patient Task Dashboard?
[A] Yes. You can delete a Workflow task by clicking the [[img:more_vert]] menu on the left side of the Workflow task and selecting Delete Task.
